On October 23, 2025, Cristina Scarpellini was one of the keynote speakers at “Fuori scena: gli Outsider,” a talk held at the Teatro Arcimboldi during the presentation of the 2026 Le Guide de L’Espresso.
Alongside her were Antonino Cannavacciuolo (Chef Patron of Villa Crespi), Enrico Dandolo (Vice President of the Gualtiero Marchesi Foundation), Antonia Klugmann (Chef at L’Argine a Vencò), and Federico Veronesi (founder of Tenimenti Leone).
For Cristina, being “outside the box” means believing in the strength of the territory and in the balance between innovation and roots. As she shared during the talk, not being born in Valtellina gave her an external perspective that allowed her to embrace the region with respect and humility, surrounding herself with loyal people who, over time, have believed in the project. For her, Valtellina is an extraordinary rural landscape, often underrepresented, where beauty coexists with hard work.
