With the 2023 vintage of our Nettare Rosso di Valtellina, we have marked the beginning of a new phase for the company.
In our commitment to sustainability, we have decided to reduce the weight of the bottle that contains our wines. This small change has a great benefit for the environment: a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions over the entire life cycle of the bottle.
Less weight, fewer emissions
Lightening the bottle means reducing the consumption of raw materials and the energy required to produce the glass. But that’s not all: a lighter bottle directly affects transportation-related emissions, enabling a reduction in fuel consumption and, consequently, the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.
A concrete impact
To give a concrete example, if each bottle weighs 100 grams less, for every 10,000 bottles we save one ton of glass. This translates into:
– Less CO₂ produced during glass melting.
– Fewer emissions for transportation
– Less carbon footprint per bottle of wine
The right choice for the planet
Choosing a lighter bottle does not change the quality of our wine, but it makes a big difference for the environment. By taking this step forward, we want to actively contribute to reducing the impact of the wine industry, proving that every choice counts when it comes to sustainability.
Thank you for sharing this commitment with us: every sip of our wine is now a small gesture in favor of the planet.
